Well here goes! I've had this blog for awhile, but I think it's pretty boring. Oh, sure, I love to share some of the pictures from recent sessions - but I was pretty nervous about having a blog in general. Lately, I've been reading more and more blogs and I love it when the people are honest. So - I'm going to try that route!
I felt like everything in this blog had to be perfect - every picture, every word, anything. Well, I am done with that. Here's the real me. I'm went to school to become an engineer - so I am a TERRIBLE writer! I use bullets, dashes, incorrect grammar - you get it all. I never know what to write or how to phrase it!
Also, I am a perfectionist - to a fault. I am never happy with any picture I take. The good news is - that always drives me to improve. As I've been learning more and more - I realize that a lot of good photography is proper editing. Now, don't get me wrong - you have to get it right in camera first - but the camera has limited functionality. I could get all technical here, but I won't. But basically the camera has to guess what lighting conditions you are in - and it only has a limited range of how much bright and dark it can see - and tons more. Anyway, that's why there is photoshop and so many people use it. Some argue that it didn't use to be this way - the difference is that in film, a lot of this was done in the darkroom - so think of photoshop as a digital darkroom!
Wow - turns out when I get talking I can't stop...
Anyway, I'll cut this short - from now on you are going to see more of the real me. I'm going to post the not so perfect pictures of my life - but they also represent some of the best times. So, be patient - as I get better at this - and feel free to give me some feedback... if anyone is even reading this!!!
